Once upon a time, there was a man jogging outside in the park. Listening to some music. Admiring the environment around him. He casually strolled by the couple in the bench, staring deeply into each other’s eyes, waiting for the other to make a move. He saw a kid playing with his dad near the pond with all of the little ducks following their mother. He saw a cat stuck in a tree, and said, “How did you end up there little fella?” He cued for the cat to jump off so that he could catch her fall, but alas, the man stood there waiting with his arms extended, ready for any sudden movements. Suddenly, the cat started walking towards the end of the branch, farther away from the tree where the man had intended to catch the stubborn feline. Her back arched. Slow and steady steps. Tail raised at its highest. The man followed her, watching her carefully, dumbfounded as to why this one cat has mesmerized him so much. She neared the end of the branch. To his surprise, she jumped! Frantically moving, he leapt for her and dove, becoming ever so close to the freshly-cut yet soft grass. Seconds ticking by. The cat’s belly met his hands. A successful catch. An impressive catch. Wondering why he spent so much effort into saving this cat, he looked at her mouth filled with the remnants of a blue bird.
